Hexagon Quilt by Isabelle Etienne-Bugnot

This hexagon quilt is hand made using the English paper method. The fabric hexagons were basted on paper, then arranged by color, and then assembled by hand with an overcast stitch. The hexagon panel was then appliquéd onto a linen border. The quilting was done by machine using free-motion quilting. The quilt measures 68" x 48". It was made for a big French exhibition which had the hexagon as the theme. Scroll down for a close up showing the quilting.
